Target: making daisies from paper.

Tasks: Develop creativity, aesthetic perception, fine motor skills, cultivate artistic taste, accuracy.

Legends about daisies - they contain warmth, tenderness and love... Of course, everyone knows that these are daisies that are so good for fortune telling. From time immemorial, daisies have symbolized Russian nature. The Russian people call chamomile with unfailing love: sunflower, bachelorette party, belyushka, daughter-in-law, witch, forest maryasha, matryonka, nivyanik, white flower. Among the ancient Slavs, chamomile was one of the seven sacred plants (oak, hazel, willow, chamomile, hops, mistletoe, weeping tree).

The name chamomile comes from the Latin word “romana”, which means “Roman”; in medieval medical literature chamomile was called “Roman flower”. And the Greek name for chamomile (Leucanthemum) is translated into Russian as “white flower”. In Ancient Egypt, the chamomile flower was dedicated to the sun god Ra.

According to popular belief, it is believed that where a star falls, a daisy blooms. They also say that daisies are little suns that connect many holy petal roads. Daisies are similar in shape to umbrellas, and according to legend, in ancient times they were umbrellas for small steppe gnomes. When it starts to rain in the steppe, the gnome will cover himself with a chamomile, or pick it and walk across the steppe, raising the flower above his head. The rain knocks on the chamomile umbrella, flows off it in streams, and the gnome remains completely dry.

And daisies are like surprised eyes; if you go out into the meadow on a dry, windy day and listen carefully, you can hear a quiet rustle - this is the rustle of white daisy eyelashes. The surprised eyes of the daisy look at the sky, trying to understand the movements of clouds, stars and planets. They look, they look, they get tired, and then they begin to blink their white eyelashes. It seems that bend over to a flower and it will tell you the most secret things. And chamomile has a lot of secrets.

The Legend of Chamomile

Once upon a time there lived a forest fairy. Where she appeared, nature came to life, trees lifted dried branches, amazing flowers bloomed. People and animals came to her for healing, and she refused to help anyone. The fairy fell in love with the young shepherd. He used to fly to the meadow where he grazed the flock, hide in the crown of a tree and listen to him play the pipe... Once a forest fairy came out to the shepherd. He saw her and fell in love with her. They began to meet every day, and the fairy endowed the shepherd with the gift of healing. She revealed to him the secrets of herbs and flowers, trees and the world of stone.

The shepherd began to heal people. And he took a lot of money for it. He stopped tending the flock and became rich. He comes less and less to the forest clearing where the fairy is waiting for him. And then he stopped coming altogether. A fairy sits in the crown of a tree, waiting for her shepherd. Tears flow from her eyes, the more they flow, the smaller she becomes. So she burst into tears all over. And where these tears fell, daisies grew there. They stand, stretch out their stalks of hands towards the sun, drop petals like tears: they love - they don’t love, they will come - they won’t come. They feel people's pain in tears and help everyone who asks for help with a pure soul.

And the shepherd, meanwhile, with each tear, lost the strength that the forest fairy gave him. And the day came when all his strength was gone and his luck deserted him. People turned away from him. And then the shepherd remembered his fairy. He came to the meadow where they saw each other all the time, and lo and behold, the whole field was strewn with daisies. He began to call out to the forest fairy, but there was only silence all around, only the daisies stretched their heads towards him, as if they were caressing him. He gave up on everything and went back to his cows.

Daisies bloom in the meadow,

Every white shirt,

With a fragrant yellow corolla,

It’s like there’s a ray of sunshine in everyone!

How much beauty there is in a flower!

Tenderness in every petal!

I’ll put together a bouquet of them, -

Hello bright summer!

T. Umanskaya

To work you need:

Colored office paper (white, green, yellow)

Wire 1mm

Glue

Cardboard

Quilling strips 3mm green

Scissors

Simple pencil

Templates

Quilling tool

Clamp

Step by step process:

1. Fold a white sheet of paper in half and draw circles using a compass or template. Cut out. This way we get several circles at once.

2. For one flower we will need 2 circles. Fold each circle in half 3 times.

3. Mark the petals with a pencil and cut along the contour. Make a cut in the center, but not all the way.

4. Unfold the workpiece and do the same along the fold lines in places where there is no cut.

5. Fold each petal in half.

6. Drop a drop of glue into the center and glue the second piece so that the upper petals are located between the lower ones.

7. Let's move on to making the core. Cut the fringe.

Fold a sheet of yellow paper several times. This way we will have several blanks at once. The size of each strip is 1 cm. Cut off the remaining paper.

8. Cut a strip 3 mm wide from cardboard. Secure it with a clamp to the strips that we will cut. Cardboard is needed so as not to cut through the strip. The fringe size will be the same. Finely chop.

9. Roll the resulting workpiece into a roll using a quilling tool. Fix the tip of the strip with glue.

10. Glue the fringe to the center of the flower.

11. We make a receptacle.

We take two quilling strips and roll them not very tightly. Let's give shape.

12. Coat the inside of the mold with glue and wait for it to dry completely. Then insert the wire. Be sure to bend the end of the wire so that it does not jump out.

13. Sepals are made similarly to chamomile. Cut out smaller circles, fold 3 times and cut out. Cut one petal to the end and glue it in the form of a cone. Then glue it to the prepared receptacle.

14. Using glue, attach the chamomile flower.

15. Using templates, I drew several large and small leaves on paper. Then I scanned it and printed it on green paper. It seemed faster to me.

16. Then I folded the sheet in half for faster cutting. And here are the leaves.

DIY paper daisies Both adults and children love to do this, because everyone really likes this cute wildflower with a yellow center. You can create very attractive bouquets from simple and affordable materials, make appliques and other crafts, for example, you can create paper daisies for Mother’s Day.

DIY paper daisy craft

1 option

The simplest options can be done together with the children - such a pastime will bring the family together, will help develop the child’s fine motor skills, and will also create a good mood.

Cut out a couple of yellow circles (diameter should be 3 cm), as well as 9 strips 1.3 cm wide and 10 cm long.

Glue all the strips together with loops using PVA glue. Then glue the loops one by one onto the yellow core. When all the petal loops are glued, the second circle should be fastened on top of them.

By the way, using the same principle you can make DIY large paper daisies, for this the size of the parts should be proportionally increased. You can decorate a child’s room or a summer cottage with such large flowers by hanging them on threads.

Option 2

One of the easiest ways to make a paper daisy. You only need to cut out the blanks according to the template and glue the cores to them.

Chamomile patterns.

By the way, daisies can only be white.

Option 3

You can choose another option that will look a little more realistic. First of all, you need to cut out a white paper circle (choose the diameter so that it is exactly the size of the future flower).

Place a dot in the center with a pencil and draw a circle with lines dividing it into equal parts. Cut the petals along the drawn lines. They will definitely need to be shaped - to do this, first cut off the curve on one side, and then on the other.

Using a blunt object, push the center - this will help the petals rise, then twist them with a stick or pencil.

To make the core, corrugated paper is useful - it should first be cut into small squares, and then rolled into lumps and glued a few pieces to the center.

Such flowers can be used for a variety of applications and cards for birthdays and March 8th.

You can slightly modify this manufacturing method and make a different middle.

Cut out a strip of paper (it should be quite thick), its width should be only 5-6 mm, but its length should be 30 cm. You need to cut the fringe along the entire length with scissors, and then screw it onto a toothpick. Be sure to glue the tip, because then the fringe may unwind. Then fluff the finished center and coat the back side with PVA. All that remains is to glue the center to the finished flower part (we have already explained how to do it earlier).

The child can also make a gift for his mother with his own hands - a daisy made of paper; such a voluminous flower is quite simple to make.

Option 4

DIY paper daisy - modular origami master class

Using the modular origami technique, you can make a wide variety of figures - buildings, animals, objects, and, of course, flowers. Such handmade creations consist of specially folded paper modules; by the way, even a child can fold such parts.

To work, you should prepare in advance 63 white and 42 yellow modules, their dimensions should be 6 by 4 cm. For the 1st and 2nd rows, you will need to take 14 pieces of yellow ones, they should be connected to each other along the long side. With the 3rd row, do the same, only close the circle at the end to create the center of the flower. For the 4th row, use 14 pieces of a white shade, then proceed to a set of petals. For each you need to take 7 pieces - first of all, take 1 blank module, put 2 pieces on it, then 1 piece, and then again 2 and 1 piece.

Make 7 petals in this way; they should be placed in the middle of both modules. At the very end, you need to wrap a green paper or tape strip around the cocktail tube and insert it into the bud. Be sure to start designing from paper - a bouquet of daisies will be your reward for all your hard work.

Option 5

DIY corrugated paper daisies

Corrugated paper will help you get very realistic products, because thanks to its structure, which is quite elastic and folded, you will get a flower that looks almost like a real one! Even a novice master will be quite capable of such a task, which is why you can involve children in the work.

You need to cut a strip 10 cm wide from a sheet of yellow corrugated paper. Stretch it with your hands several times, do it carefully - in the end it should become about twice as wide. Fold it in half and, starting from each fold, cut it halfway, while the width of each cut should be 2-3 mm. This is how you should cut the entire rectangle. Unfold a piece of corrugated paper and coat it thoroughly with PVA, then fold it in half to allow the halves to stick together. Again, coat the uncut part with adhesive and wrap the material around the tip of a bamboo stick - you have a core.

Cut out a white corrugated paper rectangle with dimensions of 50 by 10 cm. It needs to be folded several times to make a package approximately 8 cm wide. Cut the petals in the shape of a trapezoid, making partial cuts. Then the strip should be unfolded and each petal should be given a rounded shape with scissors. Run your thumb and forefinger over each petal, do this 1 carefully so as not to damage the material - this will allow the workpiece to become more prominent. After this, coat the uncut part with PVA and wrap it around the already prepared bamboo stick, circle by circle. We advise you to especially thoroughly soak the material on the last turn with glue so that the corrugated paper daisy flower does not fall apart. Cut a strip 1-1.5 cm wide (use green corrugated paper), also grease it with PVA and wind it spirally around the stem stick. In the end you should be able to DIY voluminous paper daisies, make a cute bouquet.

Option 6

DIY chamomile made from paper – photo

Here is another interesting option for which you should use corrugated paper. First of all, you should make the middle of the flower - for this use yellow yarn. Wrap two folded fingers of your hand with threads, make 14-15 turns. Remove the winding and tighten with sewing threads, cut one side of the turns with scissors to get fluffy stamens. Place the thread core on the floral wire and secure with tape.

Option 7

Make a paper daisy with your own hands

You can also use elements of the quilling technique to create a modest wildflower. To make the core and stem, use 3mm wide yellow and green quilling strips. Cut the first ones with fringe (2 pieces in total will be needed). Of course, this activity will require a due amount of patience and perseverance from you. Roll the roll, make it convex and fill it with glue. Wrap the wire with green corrugated paper. Transform 2.5 strips of the same color into a roll. Also make it convex, coat the inside with glue and attach the resulting cup to the stem.

Glue the white corrugation, wait until it dries, and then iron it using a heated iron. Use DIY daisies made from paper template and cut out a couple of blanks.

Use the back of scissors to shape the petals.

Now you need to start assembling the craft. Glue one white piece to the center and lightly crimp it around it, then do the same with the second. “Plant” the flower in a cup. Apply glue and lightly press the center into the cup. Fold green corrugated paper in half, cut out the leaves and glue to the stem.

Option 8

DIY paper daisies - quilling patterns

To make the middle of a quilling daisy, use the same method as in the previous master class, then proceed to making petals, in total for a large flower you will need 19 pieces, you can make more or less as desired. Of course, this is exactly how many quilling strips 60 cm long and 3 mm wide you should prepare.

Screw the strip onto the awl, then remove the roll. This manipulation should be done carefully, because the winding can come off and unwind. After you remove the winding, you need to unravel it a little, and glue the end of the ribbon with the most common PVA or silicate glue. Then pinch it from one side and give it a teardrop shape. Make the required number of quilling petals in the same way.

You can do the leaves in exactly the same way, or you can use a different method using large teeth of a flat comb. To do this, wrap the ribbon around the comb, carefully remove it and seal the lower end. The composition will look more advantageous if the leaves have different parameters, which is why it is worth taking strips of different lengths 30-80 cm, the width should be 5 mm.

Now you can start assembling the composition. It is best to use a cardboard sheet of a contrasting color as a substrate, but if it matches the daisies in shade, then it is advisable to tint it a little first.

Lubricate the lower part of the petals with glue and glue them to the sheet in the required order, then glue the core on top. Glue the leaf blanks together, 7 pieces at a time, to make a whole leaf. If you want the composition to look more voluminous, then glue both leaves and petals only at the base. If you wish, the picture can be supplemented with multi-colored butterflies, also created using the quilling technique.

Step-by-step instructions with photos

So, let's begin our step-by-step master class on making paper daisies with your own hands. Go!

Step 1: Cut out the pieces

Using the template, cut out shapes from white and yellow paper. To create one flower you will need two large circles of white petals, two small circles of yellow petals and one yellow stripe.

Step 2: Make the fringe

Using scissors, create a thin fringe on the yellow strip. Twist the fringe into a curl and glue the ends together with glue.

Step 3: Make the Middle

Adjust the fringe by cutting off its top and sides. The most realistic looking fringe is in the shape of a dome. Fold the fringe strips from the center to the outside.

Step 4: Cut the Petals

Cut the circles of yellow petals into 3 equal parts as shown in the photo. In total, for one flower you should get 6 such parts.

Step 5: Glue the Pieces

Glue the yellow petal pieces into the center of the circle of white petals. Place the yellow pieces overlapping each other. Glue a curl of fringe to the center of the yellow parts.

Step 6: Glue the Center

  • Glue the fringed petals to the center of the second white circle of white petals.
  • Cut out a circle from white paper. Make a cut in this circle until it reaches the middle.

Step 7: Make the Stem

Apply glue to the back of the flower and glue the wire. Cover the wire with a white circle with a notch.

    In my opinion, chamomile is the simplest flower there is. Anyone can make a daisy out of paper. To do this, you can first draw and cut out petal blanks from white paper, as in the picture below.

    And make a yellow center, for example, from the same paper only yellow. Now all that remains is to take the wire and glue the petals to the wire first and then the middle. The petals can be made in several rows, then the chamomile will turn out more beautiful.

    Or you can make a daisy from white stripes folded in half. Just glue them to the yellow center and the daisy is ready.

    The simplest scheme for chamomile. We cut out this stencil, then put the petals on white paper, the base on green paper, and cut out. You need to cut out a small circle from yellow paper in the center. Now we glue it all together and get a chamomile!

    Alternatively, another stencil:

    You can try making this chamomile:

    but as we see, it is multi-layered. In principle, nothing complicated, you can even use the stencils that I gave above. To achieve the volume of the chamomile, you will need to lightly load the petals after making the individual elements. Then the chamomile itself will appear in 3D form, vaguely resembling a water lily.

    Can do like this chamomile.

    To make it you will need white paper, yellow cardboard, scissors, glue, a button, and yellow modeling compound.

    Cut out a circle from paper (the size of your future daisy). Then cut out the petals. Petals, bend them a little. And then you glue the petals to the cardboard (a circle), when the glue dries, glue another similar circle on top. Next, you can sew a button onto the core or tie it with any available material. Or you can make a core from modeling mass (left daisy).

    If you wish, attach a stem.

    Paper daisies will be a decoration for your home or beautiful crafts for kindergarten. I suggest you make these beautiful paper daisies! The daisies turn out very beautiful. You will need wire, paper, a hole punch as in the picture:

    Use a hole punch to make petals. We make stems from wire. Gradually we form a flower.

    Here I have given only the general concept, how to make a daisy out of paper. For a fully detailed master class with a detailed description, see via this link.

    In winter, my daughter and I made snowflakes from candy fanatics, probably in a well-known way, when the wrapper is folded in half, then in half again, then again in a triangle in the corner where the center of the original wrapper is located, then the patterned edges are cut out, the center is cut out, and random cuts are made along sides of the triangle. So, recently my daughter, after eating some candy, asked me to make a flower out of a candy wrapper (apparently she remembered that we made snowflakes, but because it’s summer, she asked for a flower). I'm not much of a craftsman, so I just folded the candy wrapper the same way as for the snowflake, and then trimmed the edge into a semicircle shape. You don’t need to cut anything else, just unfold it and you will see a daisy with 8 petals. Unfortunately, there is no way to insert a photo.

    You can make such voluminous daisies with your own hands.

    To do this, you need to cut out such daisies from paper, cut off the petals in some, for one daisy you need three inflorescences of petals, cut off one petal in one, two petals in the second and just cut the third

    need to be glued like this

    we curl our petals with a round object

    make the center of the flower on a wire

    and dress three inflorescences of petals

    cut out leaves from paper, paint them green and put them on a wire (daisy stem)

    You can make a paper daisy using origami type modules. In this case, many modules are prepared, and then, as in a construction set, a cute paper daisy is assembled from them.

    It may be easier to make a paper daisy using scissors and glue, but it still won’t turn out as elegant.

    How to make a daisy out of paper, you can watch in this video:

  • Paper chamomile

    Here is a video lesson (master class) that tells you how to make a daisy out of paper. You will learn how to make a daisy using a utility knife to make the necessary cuts on the paper. Watch the rest of the details in the video.

Since ancient times, flowers have been used to decorate a person’s home, as well as as decorative elements in the creation of interior items, hairstyles and festive toilets. However, they are short-lived and can only last for a few days. That is why people began to create artificial bouquets from a variety of materials. For example, even from ordinary paper you can construct a poppy, rose, peony or iris, which will be indistinguishable from real flowers.

There are many options for such crafts, so anyone who is interested, for example, in how to make a daisy flower out of paper, will be able to choose the one that he likes best.

Among the methods presented below, there is also a craft that you can do with your kids in kindergarten.

How to make a daisy out of paper: a diagram of a craft using the accordion technique

To create a flower you will need:

  • white, yellow and green paper,
  • 3 pieces of telephone wire 10 cm long;
  • glue stick;
  • crepe green paper;
  • scissors,
  • a piece of aluminum wire 25 cm long.

Now let's look at how to make a daisy out of paper. The work is carried out in the following order:

  • cut a rectangle measuring 10 by 18 cm from a sheet of white paper;
  • fold it into a small accordion, as shown in the diagram, and level it;
  • cut a strip 3.5 cm wide and 18 cm long from a sheet of yellow paper;
  • stick it along the white rectangle in the center;
  • the resulting workpiece is again folded into an accordion;
  • cut the edges, giving them a semicircular shape;
  • take the accordion in the center with two fingers and glue the edges together to make a flower;
  • 3 squares measuring 6 by 6, 8 by 8 cm and 9 by 9 cm are cut out of green paper;
  • fold them diagonally;
  • glue the ends of the accordions on one side;
  • they are attached to separate wires - cuttings in the middle;
  • a piece of wire 25 cm long is wrapped in a strip of green crepe paper to make a stem for a flower;
  • attach chamomile and leaves to it.

How to make a daisy from corrugated paper

This craft is very easy to make. If you are patient, you will get a very realistic daisy that will be difficult to distinguish from a real flower.
In addition to corrugated paper in white, yellow and green colors, you will need:

  • glue;
  • scissors;
  • iron;
  • a piece of metal wire.

Operating procedure

If you don’t know how to make a paper daisy, then read the step-by-step instructions below:

  • a strip 5 mm wide is cut out of yellow corrugated paper and frequent small cuts are made along the edge to form a fringe-stamen;
  • roll it into a tight roll, give it a convex shape and fill it with glue from the inside;
  • cut out a strip of green corrugated paper 15 cm long and 5 mm thick;
  • treat it the same way as with the yellow ribbon to make a cup;
  • the wire is wrapped in green corrugated paper;
  • attach a calyx to the resulting stem;
  • cut a rectangle 20 cm wide and 20 cm long from a sheet of white paper;
  • fold it in half and glue it together;
  • iron the paper with a hot iron;
  • cut out two flower blanks;
  • using the rings of scissors, give the petals a slightly concave shape.

Flower assembly

When all the details are ready, all you have to do is learn how to make a paper daisy.
Assembly is carried out as follows:

  • one white blank is glued to the yellow center;
  • lightly squeeze it around the core;
  • glue the second blank;
  • crimp like the first one;
  • the resulting flower is glued to the green cup on the stem;
  • lightly press the middle of the chamomile;
  • cut out leaves from green corrugated paper, glued in half and ironed.

Complex paper daisy: what you need

Today, specialized stores sell not only a variety of materials for creating handmade products, but also tools and devices that make it easier to manufacture identical parts. These include shaped hole punches, with which you can cut out figures of different silhouettes and sizes.
Those who want to learn how to make a daisy out of paper should also acquire such a device.

To make crafts in this way, in addition to a lot of patience, you will need:

  • hole punchers that cut flowers from paper of different sizes;
  • paper in white, yellow, orange and green colors;
  • toothpick;
  • glue;
  • scissors;
  • ruler;
  • awl;
  • stationery knife.

How to make a daisy using a hole punch

First of all, the flower petals are created:

  • Circles with a diameter equal in size to the future chamomile are cut out of white paper;
  • make slits towards the center of the flower, without cutting 1-2 cm;
  • using scissors, give the desired shape to the ends of the petals and, using an awl, round each of them, lifting the edges;
  • In the same way, a second layer of petals is made, smeared in the center from the wrong side with glue and placed on the first one so that the daisies turn out more magnificent.

The core is made as follows:

  • Using a hole punch, many small flowers are cut out of yellow paper;
  • fold them in half and stick them in a circle in the center of the top layer of chamomile petals;
  • take a strip of yellow paper, cut it into small fringes and wrap it around a toothpick;
  • remove and give the workpiece a cone shape, slightly pressing in the center;
  • glue the resulting core to the chamomile and slightly fluff the fringe.

If the flower is intended to decorate postcards, wall panels or boxes, then cut out 1-2 leaves from green paper and glue them under the flower. They act somewhat differently when chamomile is made as part of a bouquet that is going to be placed in a vase.

In this case, a wire pre-wrapped with corrugated paper is attached to the base of the flower, and the leaves are glued.

Children's version

If you are interested in how easy it is to make a paper daisy with your child at home or with children in kindergarten, then try the following option:

  • 2 circles with a diameter of 3 cm are cut out of yellow paper;
  • cut a piece of wire 20 cm long;
  • Green paper is cut into strips 1 cm wide and 18 cm long;
  • fold the strips in half, but so that folds do not form;
  • glue the loops onto the back side of the core;
  • place the stem on the resulting blank and glue the second yellow circle on top of it;
  • leaves are cut out of green paper;
  • glue them to the stem.

Now you know how to make a paper daisy with your own hands, and you can decorate your home with a beautiful bouquet that will not wither and will delight you for many months. It will also be a wonderful gift for parents on Family and Fidelity Day.
