DIY New Year's boot from scrap materials. New Year's felt boot - interior decoration or craft for kindergarten: killing two birds with one stone

Each of us loves the New Year, because on this holiday it is customary to give gifts. In order for a surprise to be liked, it must be adequately packaged. Place a gift, for example, a boot for Santa Claus, made by yourself.

Making a felt boot with your own hands

For a felt boot you need to prepare:

  • red or blue felt;
  • strong threads;
  • needle with pencil;
  • light fabric.

Two equal parts of the boot should be cut out of felt. Sew snowflakes onto the details with white thread. You need to cut a rectangle of white fabric along the width of the upper edge of the boot and sew it to the product. Next, connect the two blanks and sew them together. Then use thread to make a loop and place the gifts in the boot.

The technique can also be used to make a boot. For the density of the product, prepare medium-sized square shreds and padding polyester. Let's get down to the basic creative process.

Fold the parts of the boot in the correct order. Place one lining face down first, then the other lining face up. Next, lay out the scraps face up, and on them place the fabric for the back of the boot face down. You should firmly assemble all the parts, trace the outline and sew them with a machine. Excess fabric must be trimmed and the product turned inside out between the top and the patchwork part. Decorate the piping and add New Year's surprises to the boot.

To make a stocking with an applique pattern for the New Year, take:

  • a durable piece of fabric, for example, drape;
  • chintz and cotton wool;
  • applique drawing;
  • scissors with a needle;
  • strong threads;
  • flattering varnish.

You need to cut 2 parts of the stocking from a durable piece of fabric. An applique pattern should be sewn to one of them, but not completely, in order to fill it with cotton wool for volume.

Then sew the end of the applique. You need to sew a piping on the product from another fabric. Embroider snowflakes using white threads, and cut out 2 parts of the stocking from chintz fabric in the same way as from durable fabric. Next, you need to overcast the chintz fabric and sew it to the outside of the halves of the drape.

The stocking can be turned inside out and a loop can be formed. Using glitter polish on the stocking, write the name of the person for whom the gift is intended.

New Year's boot. Master class with step by step photos .

This year, like many others, we made a waiting calendar. Every morning the children looked forward to new task hidden in an envelope, they completed it with pleasure and then closed the day with a new ball. The Christmas tree became more and more decorated, days before New There was less and less year left. But what will be under the Christmas tree? There must be an unusual culmination of anticipation. Then the idea arose that there should be surprises for children under the Christmas tree, it would be nice to have personalized ones. And so I decided to make personalized ones for the children. boots and put a little surprise in them. When the boots were ready, we hung them on a string under the Christmas tree.

I suggest you master- class on making such boot. We'll need a colored one paper square, scissors, glue, colored tape for decoration boot, little surprise. My gifts were small, so I took a small square. But it can be made in any size.

So, first we fold the square in half and iron the fold line.

Then, fold it again, but do not iron it, but mark the middle point.

We bend the corners of the resulting rectangle to this point. (like an airplane).

We bend each side of the resulting triangle to the bottom edge, while ironing the fold line only to our designated middle.

We have a protruding triangle. Let's turn it one way and the other.

On the top side of the rectangle, we will make a small flap.

Decorate it with colored tape.

Now, carefully rounding it, we roll up our craft, connecting the opposite edges.

The top edge is tucked under the fold of the opposite side, and the bottom edge is tucked into "pocket" bottom edge. For strength it is better to glue.

Sock slightly tighten the boot When giving shape, we bend the toe so that it is not too sharp.

To make a sole for boot, we outline its lower part, add a little for the hem, make notches and glue it to the bottom edge boot.

The boot is ready.

We glue strips with the children's names to it and put souvenirs. To keep the secret, I covered the top of the gift with a tinsel ball.

On the last day before the holidays, each child found his boot, took it off the rope and got a surprise. I will be glad if someone finds mine useful Master Class.

A New Year's gift requires especially bright and festive packaging. After all, this holiday is magical, and therefore everything should correspond to the fairy-tale surroundings: the decoration of the house, the outfits, and the gifts that we give to each other. Any schoolchild can make a wonderful boot for the New Year with his own hands - this is an easy and interesting task. But first, let's look through the history books: where did such an unusual design of New Year's gifts come from?

The past does not reveal all the secrets, and therefore only a legend has reached us. In a distant country there lived three sisters. The girls really needed money, but there was nowhere to get it. The night before Christmas they went to bed without any hope for the future, but still believing that miracles could happen and their lives would change.

The sisters' expectations came true! At night, Santa Claus walked around the houses of sleeping residents. Looking into the sisters' house, he saw that there was absolutely nothing there. The kind wizard generously threw three gold bars down the chimney - one for each beauty - and to prevent them from falling into the burning fireplace, the clever Santa Claus threw them straight into the stockings that were drying by the dying fire. Probably, the morning after that night became one of the most difficult for the sisters. best events in life! Since then, boots for the New Year (or rather, at first for Christmas) have become a good tradition: children and adults leave them near the Christmas tree so that the wizard has somewhere to put his gifts.

Let's sew a boot for the New Year with our own hands and play the role of good Santa Claus or our Father Frost, putting some wonderful surprise in the “shoes” for our loved ones. Perhaps it will be a boot made of felt or felt, or maybe just made of cardboard. Read, look at the patterns and choose your version of New Year’s “gift wrapping”.

Materials

How to make a boot for the New Year? You will need materials from the list:

  • cardboard;
  • felt;
  • felt;
  • colored ribbons;
  • web fabric;
  • bright threads;
  • beautiful stickers.

Boot stencils for New Year's gifts can be found on the Internet - there are a great many variations there. Well, let’s master the art of sewing “shoes” with our own hands? Let's start with felt boots - they are easy to make even for those who haven't held a needle and thread in their hands since school.

Felt boots for the New Year

First of all, we need a boot stencil for the New Year. You can draw it from any picture. Take cardboard or thick paper and draw a felt boot - remember how you drew as a child? The dimensions will be such that your gift fits freely in this “packaging”. So, we have prepared a template for the New Year's boot.

  • red felt (for the base);
  • white felt (for the “edge”);
  • green felt (for the pattern);
  • threads (preferably white, to contrast with the main background);
  • needle;
  • scissors.

Let's take our New Year's boot stencil. We place it on red felt, which is folded in half, outline it, and cut it out. We make the top out of white - it will represent the trim of the boot, and therefore we cut it out somewhat wider than the boot itself. We sew the felt boot with white threads using a chain stitch along the edges. Using white threads we imperceptibly sew on the “edge”.

If you have several potential gift recipients, you can prepare similar boots for them, but, for example, in different colors. If two children are the same, but different sizes.

After the boots for the New Year are ready, you need to decorate them. We cut out a Christmas tree from green felt and attach it to the “shoes”. In general, it all depends on your imagination - you can cut out white snowflakes, a twig with pine cones, a figure of Santa Claus, a snowman, a slide with a sled, a cheerful skier...

Felt boot New Year, the patterns of which can be simpler or more complex, can be sewn by any child under the guidance of an adult. Help your child prepare holiday packaging for gifts for friends!

Do-it-yourself boot for the New Year: pattern patterns from ribbons

Having a ready-made pattern cut out of cardboard on hand, you can make a festive “wrapper” for the New Year with your own hands from multi-colored ribbons. There is already a template for the boot. You don't even have to sew anything! It's still simpler.

We lay the “cobweb” fabric on the template cardboard. We lay out any ribbons on top using the weaving method: satin, braid, scraps of fabric left over from children's crafts. Color combinations - as you like. We run a hot iron over our future boot.

Now we cut along the contour of the pattern and prepare the second side in the same way. We sew the details. All that remains is to process the product along the edge with bias tape (choose a color close or contrasting to the main tone of the ribbons) and make a loop from the same tape.

Boot template for the New Year for felt “shoes”

How to make a boot with your own hands New Year's celebration from felt? Draw the outline of the future “shoe” directly on the felt. Cut out and sew both halves with large stitches.

You may not be limited to the usual form of felt boots. Create, for example, an elegant women's boot with high heels and a high top. Be sure to decorate it: sew white and silver beads on top, lay out figures of tinsel and rain. A good idea is to decorate your boots with large, bright buttons.

From cardboard

If you are faced with the task of helping a preschooler or elementary school child make a beautiful New Year's card, then you can draw a large felt boot on thick paper or cardboard (folded double-sided). Color it with your child and cut it out. And make a pocket inside - glue it to one of the walls. Place a chocolate bar in your pocket. It turned out to be a great gift - uplifting, cute and delicious!

Striped stocking

Remember the fairy tale about the girl Pippi who wore multi-colored stockings? You can create a similar long sock yourself by sewing it from multi-colored ribbons. Another option is to simply tie the stocking with a regular elastic band. On the resulting stocking, sew colored pompoms cut from old children's hats. If you don’t have any of these, make pompoms from fluffy knitting threads. You will get a spacious package - you can put a big gift!

As you can see, there are a lot of ideas for making New Year's boots. Choose any one and act! As soon as the packaging for the gift is ready, all that remains is to buy the gift itself. You can be sure: your friends and family will really like any gift in such a magnificent boot. Well, the children will simply jump with delight!

And Christmas is the most long-awaited, kind and, despite the cold, beloved winter holidays. One of the glorious traditions at this time is hanging special boots or socks on the mantelpiece or window - Santa Claus puts gifts in them for children and adults throughout the Christmas holidays. That is why such a boot is considered a symbol of the New Year.

Of course, these accessories can be bought in the store. However, they are unlikely to have as much warmth as if they were sewn with my own hands. Even for those who do not know how to do needlework, it will not be difficult to make New Year's boots for gifts on their own. This simple, but at the same time cute and most New Year's accessory will be a pleasant addition in the form of holiday decor or a cute addition to a gift for both a child and an adult.

History of tradition

New Year's boots as a festive attribute came to us from European countries. Once, many years ago, on New Year's Eve, Santa Claus - that's the name of Father Frost in Western countries - traveled around England and delivered gifts. In those days, almost every house had a fireplace or a stove, and people dried their things by the fire. Since Santa Claus usually came late in the evening, all the doors were already locked, and he looked into the houses through the chimney.

That night, after a winter walk, one family hung woolen socks by the fireplace to dry. As usual, looking into the chimney, Santa Claus did not notice how several coins fell out of his pockets and rolled down. The money went straight into the socks, where the owners discovered it in the morning. Since then, there has been a tradition of hanging decorative boots near the stove, window or on the stairs - where Santa Claus can pass and leave sweets, gifts or money.

Necessary materials

To sew a New Year's boot with your own hands, you will need a minimum of materials that can be found in almost any home:

  • Material for the main part. For the boot itself, you can take almost any fabric, but it will be easiest to work with felt, flannel, cord, velvet, footer, flannel. In addition, these materials will hold their shape better.
  • Material for finishing the boot. White fur, fleecy or smooth fabric - anything can be used. This part is optional, but gives the product a finished look.

  • Ribbon loop for hanging.
  • Threads to match the color of the fabric.
  • Scissors.
  • Pencil.
