French fashion. What French women wear in spring and summer: Parisian street fashion. Street fashion in Paris: photos, trends, styles

Haute couture collections are unique designer images that will never go into mass production. Like an exclusive painting by an artist intended for an elite interior, such things are created to decorate the most successful and famous people, emphasizing not only refined taste, but also high status, as well as the financial viability of the owner.

The first designer to declare that fashionable things should have not only practical, but also artistic value was Charles Frederick Worth. It is to this couturier that the world owes the division fashionable images by season and the appearance of the first collection of the couture segment.

Today high-fashion is in the spotlight and the most famous fashion houses consider it prestigious to present on the catwalks not only new ready-to-wear looks for the 2017-2018 season, but also exclusive haute couture collections.

It is about the 5 brightest collections of the season that we will talk about:

The couture collection of the Chanel fashion house is designed in the style of the great Coco. Subtle neutral shades gray, elegant style with notes of English stiffness, laconic lines and stylish hats that complement the images - all this perfectly matches the concept of the fashion house and makes Chanel items recognizable and incredibly popular.

Karl Lagerfeld offers fashionistas in 2018:

  • bouffant skirts;
  • black cocktail dresses;
  • feminine sets with a classic jacket and straight skirt;
  • coat with puffy sleeves.

Chanel full skirts

For a special occasion perfect choice there will be a luxurious Chanel dress with a full skirt. The sophistication and chic of the evening looks created by Karl Lagerfeld for the fashion house seems to emphasize that the outfits were created specifically for the red carpet and the most iconic events.

Elegant black Chanel dresses

90 years have already passed since the great Coco introduced the little black dress into a woman’s wardrobe. But in the collection of every modern fashionista you can find a universal black cocktail dress. Of course, in the couture collection, Chanel offers several exclusive options worthy of becoming an adornment for a film star.

Classic sets

A single print on different wardrobe elements is a 2018 trend. Chanel suggests keeping not only a jacket and a skirt or dress in the same style, but also complementing the look with a hat made of the same fabric and textile boots.

Elegant coats from Chanel

One of the most popular trends of 2018 is the visual extension of the shoulder line. This is exactly the effect achieved in fashionable women's coats Chanel. In combination with an emphatically narrow waist, the voluminous sleeves of the 2018 models look very impressive.

Images for Fendi are a floral extravaganza, striking the imagination with a riot of colors, as well as the complexity and splendor of the decor. The collection offers the following trends for the new season:

  • plain translucent dresses with openwork patterns;
  • bright floral print with voluminous decor;
  • luxurious fur;
  • stylish capes.

Fendi openwork dresses

The collection features incredibly luxurious models in delicate nude shades, classic white and black, as well as deep burgundy, rich blue and soft blue tones. Every Fendi dress is the pinnacle of perfection! I suggest you appreciate their magnificence in the photo and imagine which of the stars will choose luxurious bows from Fendi for their appearance.

Floral theme

Floral prints are incredibly popular this season and, despite the fact that winter is ahead, in 2018 high fashion suggests boldly choosing bright items richly decorated with floral elements.

Fur in Fendi looks

Natural fur is always popular, because an elegant coat or an elegant fur coat has long become symbols of a luxurious life for many.

Fashionable capes

Having once appeared as a variation of the classic demi-season coat, the cape is rapidly gaining popularity, and fashion designers are creating new interpretations on the theme of capes. The Fendi fashion house collection features unusual models, in which openwork elements and expensive fur, shiny fabrics and voluminous floral decor, classic and creative notes are intertwined.

It is worth noting that in 2018, high fashion does not recommend flaunting minimalist lingerie under transparent skirts. Pay attention to the photo. All the models hit the runway in high-waisted shorts, which really work well for this look.

France is associated with fashion, and French women with impeccable taste. French style is characterized by elegance and a simple silhouette. Cloth good quality emphasizes individuality - this is the main requirement of style. To become like a Parisian, you must adhere to certain rules.

1. An important detail of the French style of clothing: all things must fit perfectly. Clothing cannot be too loose or, conversely, very tight. She gently hugs the body, repeating smooth lines silhouette. The main criterion by which French fashionistas choose their wardrobe is a beautiful fit.

2. Most of the things in a fashionista's wardrobe are basic attributes. These include, for example, a white T-shirt and T-shirt, a silk light blouse, black little dress, blazer, thin cardigan, jacket, jeans of different shades and styles, scarves, ballet shoes. Such things become the basis of a wardrobe.

3. It is customary for French women to choose clothes only from high-quality materials (linen, silk, wool, cashmere, cotton). If the budget is limited, the girl will not buy herself a lot of cheap things as the main and most important ones (sweater, coat, dress). She would rather buy several expensive but high-quality outfits that will serve her for quite a long time.

4. At the same time, many French women prefer to combine expensive basic clothes with cheap things. From color range girls choose neutral shades. IN Everyday life Separate bright accents are added to the primary colors (white, black, beige, gray).

5. Outerwear (jacket, trench coat, coat) should fit perfectly, emphasizing the advantages of a particular girl’s figure. Oversized and voluminous models are rarely found in a French woman's wardrobe.

6. Fitted outerwear that looks perfect is the choice of most Parisian women. To get a good fit, many girls have their clothes hemmed by going to a tailor. For outerwear, fashionistas prefer to wear a blazer, jacket and trench coat. Such items are considered universal and therefore fit with any other clothing.

7. A trench coat is suitable for almost every occasion. It looks good next to a skirt, trousers, dress and jeans. You cannot wear a raincoat that is much shorter than the skirt. This is a sign of bad taste.

8. As for dresses, the French style suggests that they should have a slightly fitted or straight silhouette. The length of the product can reach the knee or be slightly lower. Any collar can be used, and the sleeve can have different lengths. Explicit cutouts and mini and maxi models are not used in everyday life.

9. The most popular models: shirt dress, sheath dress, robe dress, T-shirt dress. Best option in any situation - a black little dress, which became widespread thanks to Coco Chanel. This is a modest, strict, but effective dress, always relevant. Today it occupies a leading position in the fashion world.

10. French women don't wear daytime dresses with a deep neckline, and also refrain from mini lengths. The exception is young and beautiful girls who wear feminine mini-dresses. Your wardrobe should have fashionable basics. They combine with each other and with other stylish things.

11. A fashionista always has simple white T-shirts, T-shirts, neutral blouses and cardigans at her disposal. Basic thing a striped top (vest) appears. It is considered a classic and is present in fashionable wardrobe. French women wear white T-shirts with everything.

12. A white top can easily fit into street and business style. To create a layered silhouette, use a white tank top. It can be worn under a silk blouse. By unbuttoning the top couple of buttons on a light blouse, we get a stunning look. Striped tops go well with a variety of trousers. However, a fashionable vest is never worn with sweatpants. A French woman would never wear such trousers just like that. They are used only for their intended purpose - for training in a fitness club.

13. French style places more emphasis on skirts and dresses than on trousers. Fashionable trousers have the following requirements: perfect fit, normal length, lack of decoration. Women wear straight dress pants and breeches. For blouses, only classic cut models are used. These blouses have raglan or set-in sleeves, small buttons and a turn-down collar.

14. A classic blouse can be worn with a tie. In this version, the outfit is perfect for business style. Despite their love for a fitted silhouette, French women use things in men's style. They wear them elegantly and femininely. This could be fashionable faded jeans, a tweed jacket, or loafers. Such things will make a Parisian woman more graceful than an evening dress. An interesting style “a la garçon” is popular among fashionistas, the foundations of which were laid by Coco Chanel.

15. French women put convenience first. They believe that you can look beautiful only in comfortable clothes. Girls choose their shoes using the same principle. For every day, shoes with medium heels or flat soles are more suitable. Heels are used only for attending parties and special events.

16. In everyday life, French fashionistas most often wear ballet flats. They are worn under any clothes. Ankle boots and pumps with thick heels are also popular. The combination of ballet flats with tapered or straight trousers looks especially elegant. Skinny jeans are worn not only with ballet flats, but also with ankle boots. Low-heeled pumps are ideal for office work. Ballet flats are not worn with tracksuits, trouser suits that resemble men's, as well as with strict office clothes. Sports shoes are not popular, since a girl should always look feminine.

17. If we consider jewelry and accessories, then French women try to use them to a minimum. A true Parisian will never wear cheap jewelry in large quantities. Minimalism and restraint are one of the conditions for elegant French style. A casual look can be without any decoration at all, with the exception of wedding ring and small earrings.

18. Modest jewelry is great for work and outings. For evening outings, take high-quality and beautiful jewelry. Luxurious vintage style jewelry is a great success among fashionistas. Flashy jewelry should not be worn with a casual dress. During the daytime, French women do not wear jewelry with diamonds and other precious stones.

19. Particular attention is paid to the choice of accessories, thanks to which the image seems complete. Such things include a beret, which harmonizes with any clothing. An indispensable attribute is a scarf, used in any season. A wide and long scarf can be wrapped several times around the neck, creating volume.

20. French women highly respect sunglasses. Glasses of any shape with brown and black lenses are in fashion. They are worn in any weather, like stylish decoration. A watch is considered an important accessory. Most often, French women choose large watches with a wide bracelet. Each outfit is combined with a specific watch, taking into account the shade of the strap and the design. A bag is definitely matched with your clothes. The shade and size of this accessory depends on the outfit.

Against the backdrop of the past fashion season Paris Fashion Week, as always, distinguished itself. It featured performances from Rei Kawakubo and Vivienne Westwood, the return of models from the 90s at the Dries Van Noten show, and interesting new collections from designers who debuted on the Paris catwalks just a couple of years ago. There were no shortage of new trends there either. We've collected all the most interesting trends from the Paris catwalks that will be fashionable next fall.

White shoes

At Paris Fashion Week, designers are suggesting taking a risk and wearing snow-white or cream-colored shoes next fall. Shoes, sandals, pointed ankle boots and over the knee boots are best paired with contrasting trousers, dresses or skirts. For example, many designers in Paris did just that: they mixed white shoes with black clothes.

Baggy boots

Boots and over the knee boots promise to return next fall and displace this season's trend - ankle boots. Moreover, the designers suggest wearing not the usual boots, but adapting an option with a baggy top, which can be worn with both a mini-length dress and trousers.

Berets

It is not surprising that berets made a comeback at Paris Fashion Week. This essential, albeit rather cliché, attribute of the French wardrobe was reinterpreted this season by Maria Grazia Chiuri at Christian Dior and at the Jacquemus show.

Denim

The denim trend started in New York by Raf Simons continued in Paris. At Paris Fashion Week, designers showed cropped denim jackets and jeans. Some went even further and used a technique originally from the 2000s - denim total looks.

Fur sleeves

In the coming season, voluminous fur sleeves will migrate from fur coats to coats, as at the Y/Project and Dries Van Noten shows. At Haider Ackermann, they took their unusual place on tuxedos, and some went the more traditional route and made the sleeves on fur coats larger than usual.

Leather raincoats

This season, the passion for leather coats has swept across all fashion capitals, and Paris is no exception. Various variations of leather raincoats could be seen from many designers: with shimmer Stella McCartney, with sharp shoulders in the spirit of BDSM at Mugler, in worn patent leather at Balenciaga, or an oversize version embroidered with colored threads at Alexander McQueen.

Unusual hats

The trend for unusual headwear is increasingly gaining momentum. Moreover, the desire to surprise many designers has reached the point of grotesquery. Parsley-inspired headdresses at the Vivienne Westwood show, bags with feathers on models' heads at Margiela and cocked hats at Jacquemus are just the beginning.

Extravagant fur coats

Fur will certainly appear in our wardrobe next season, but this time there will be no place for the classics - this can be seen at the example of Paris Fashion Week. Fur coats with prints at Valentino, tricolor and fluffy at Miu Miu and hyper-voluminous ones, as at the Y/Project show, will become the main winter trend.

Cell

Tartan and checkerboard prints have long ceased to be associated with boring clothes for the races or the office. In Paris, different variations of the checkered print appeared on outerwear, on jackets and dresses, and at Off-White - on boots.

Long fringe on dresses

Boho chic has been holding its position on the catwalks for many years now. Designers either fantasize about fabric headbands or send models onto the catwalk with flowers in their hair. In Paris, inclusions of this aesthetics could be seen on dresses - in the form of long fringe.

Side-mounted clasp

Demna Gvasalia again showed the wonders of working with cutting and styling and suggested alternative method button up your coat. At the Balenciaga show, the fastening of raincoats and coats moved to the shoulder. Despite the fact that the trend appeared only at Gvasalia’s show, we predict that it will become a hit.

Tote bags

Next fall, backpacks and small shoulder bags will give way to massive tote bags. The most daring options were, as usual, at the Balenciaga show, more restrained ones could be seen at Kenzo and Loewe.

Headscarves

It seems that Soviet, and even post-Soviet, aesthetics haunt designers now in all fashion capitals. The hit of Paris Fashion Week was not only unusual headdresses, but also rather ordinary and familiar headscarves.

Silver

Nehera and Lemaire tops, Off-White cropped jackets, Balenciga skirts - everything was in silver. Shades of platinum, silver and metallic promise to be some of the most popular shades next fall and will fill our wardrobes.
