Good day to all! Today we will talk about oats. No - no, not about oat flakes, but specifically about oat grains.

A little about the culprit of the review....

Oats are known as a medicinal plant, which has a rich composition and many useful properties. What does it not contain: potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, iron, chromium, manganese, zinc, nickel, fluorine, iodine, sulfur, vitamins, essential oils And that is not all.

The range of diseases and ailments for which it is recommended to use decoctions and infusions of oats is also quite wide: this includes obesity, since oats help regulate metabolism, these include nervous disorders and disorders of the gastrointestinal tract, oats are also indicated for diabetes mellitus, it helps to function cardiovascular system, reduces cholesterol levels in the blood and has many, many other indications for use.

I think many people have tried washing with oatmeal. This is what I do from time to time. One fine day I decided to read about oats, to find out, so to speak, what kind of animal this is. It turned out that decoctions and infusions of oats are also used internally to treat acne, i.e. from acne. The reviews were mostly good, so I stocked up on patience and willpower (and they will be one hundred percent useful in this matter) and began to try the wonderful properties of oatmeal on myself.

Which oats should I buy?

I think it doesn't matter which one. I used 2 different brands and did not find any significant differences.

Most often I bought oats like this:

These are oats produced by IP Imashev, Perm region. You can buy oats in the department healthy eating, if there is one in your city or in a pharmacy. By the way, the price of oat grains is quite pleasing - for 400 grams on average from 40 to 60 rubles, depending on the place of purchase.

The oat grains themselves look like this:

How to cook oats:

I used several methods:

Method number 1. Oat decoction. At the very beginning of use, I cooked an oat decoction for about 1 week. I took an ordinary faceted glass, poured in 1/3 cup of grains, washed it thoroughly, poured it into a saucepan, poured in three glasses of water, brought to a boil and then over low heat, preferably in a water bath or using a fire sprayer, cooked for about 1 hour. The result was a decoction yield of 1 glass. The decoction turns out to be a transparent yellowish-brown hue.

Method number 2. In the reviews that I read, people recommended cooking not a decoction, but jelly from oats. But it didn’t work out for me, and the whole point was that the oat shell did not boil and therefore only a decoction was obtained. In general, in order to get jelly, you need to first grind the oat grains in a coffee grinder, for example. How to cook: take 1/3 cup of whole oat grains, grind them, add 3 cups of water, bring to a boil and also cook in a water bath or using a fire spray for 30-40 minutes, strain. Yield: 1 - 1.5 cups of jelly. The jelly turns out cloudy, white-gray in color.

What is the difference between decoction and jelly? The broth is more pleasant to drink, but the jelly is thicker, has a milky taste, plus cold jelly is something not very pleasant, so it must be diluted with hot water before use. In my case, my body accepted the decoction better, but since the reviews still wrote about jelly, I decided that I would cook it.

How to use oats

I took oat jelly for 3 months, daily, 1/3 cup 3 times a day, half an hour before meals. That is, I drank 1 glass of jelly a day.

That's why I said that you need to stock up on both patience and willpower.....

It is advisable not to skip jelly receptions or do it as rarely as possible.

Is there any effect?

There is an effect, but it does not appear immediately. After about 1 - 1.5 months of use, I began to notice that subcutaneous pimples began to appear on my face less often, and my skin began to become a little less shiny. Some note that at the first time of using jelly, the face is heavily sprinkled, much like some people experience when washing their face with oatmeal, supposedly the body is being cleansed. I didn't have this effect.

But I want to upset both myself and others: I did not completely get rid of acne with the internal use of oats, but I will repeat once again that there are fewer subcutaneous acne and they appear less frequently.

But there are other important effects:

1. Immunity is strengthened. I started getting sick less often.

2. Charges with energy. You are like a battery. Vigor appears, mood improves.

3. Weight loss. Indeed, it was surprising for me too. I didn’t need to lose weight at all, since I was thin, I lost weight before using oats, and then even while using oats I lost about 2 kg. And this despite the fact that you can eat as much as you want. Well, in general, you can eat and not gain weight. So you need to be careful with this property of oats. Because excessive thinness is also not good.

P.S.

Here I would like to talk about which oats it is better not to buy. In one store I bought loose oats, I was also attracted by the price and it looked very beautiful, but the jelly from it turns out to be very thick, so thick that it is even impossible to drink and very, very tasteless. Here is a photo of such oats

This seems to be purely oat kernels. In general, I don’t know, but I would not recommend using such oats.

I would also like to say here about one more way to use oats. This is an infusion of oats. It is prepared from unripened grains:

I bought these oats from one grandmother at the market, and she recommended this recipe to me. And the recipe is this: take a handful of herbs, pour them into a jar, pour boiling water over them, leave for 30 minutes and the drink is ready to drink. But this is more like an addition. Now I use it 1-2 times a week instead of tea. Very tasty, similar to herbal tea.

What else would I like to say: facial cleansing is a complex thing; external and internal cleansing is necessary. Therefore, do not be afraid to experiment, but do not forget that almost any remedy, even a folk one, has contraindications. Don’t be lazy, before you try something, read the information about it first. Perhaps somewhere you will need to consult a doctor))) Thank you all for your attention.

Based on oatmeal and cereals, various cosmetic companies produce effective lines of care products for all skin types.

This plant is especially widely used in home cosmetology. To prepare scrubs, masks and other nourishing and cleansing preparations, not only oat grains, oatmeal and flakes are used, but also bran, grain sprouts and oat straw.

Preparations and products prepared on the basis of this cereal are simply irreplaceable for flaky, dry and inflamed skin. They are also suitable for tired and dull skin.

To care for feet and hands, baths are prepared from oat decoction, which not only perfectly soften the skin and calluses, but also supply vitamins and proteins. Let's try to prepare some simple and accessible recipes.

  • To make the skin of your hands and feet silky, you need to prepare a decoction of oat grains. To do this, take 6 tablespoons of cereal, add a liter of water, boil for ten minutes, and filter. Place your hands or feet in the warm broth for fifteen to twenty minutes.
  • For a cleansing scrub, take a glass of flakes and lightly crush them. The oatmeal pieces are then mixed with water to form a viscous mixture. Before applying the scrub, wash your face with room water and wipe the entire face with oatmeal (except for the area around the eyes). Then the face is rinsed again with warm water. This facial cleansing is done once a month at night.
  • To refresh and soothe the skin you need to prepare a mask. Take 4 tablespoons of chopped oatmeal, add 60 milliliters of boiling water and mix. Add a couple of small spoons of finely chopped mint leaves to the thickened mass. This mixture is applied to the face for ten to fifteen minutes, and then washed with water.
  • An anti-wrinkle mask is prepared from a couple of tablespoons of orange juice mixed with 100 milliliters of water. Then oatmeal is added there until a viscous mixture is obtained. This mask is applied for a quarter of an hour, and then removed with room water.
