Sun protection for hair. The best products to protect your hair from the sun. What to take with you and how to protect your hair from the sun at sea

Most often we remember that hair needs protection from the scorching sun, only when we are going on vacation, for some reason believing that our curls are safe in the metropolis. In fact, only if you don't leave the house from 9 am to 6 pm you have nothing to worry about. The rest of the time, the sun's UV-A and UV-B rays actively harm our skin and hair, regardless of territorial location, and the heat in the city sometimes poses an even greater danger than at sea.

Why is it necessary to protect your hair from the sun? What damage does the sun's rays cause to hair?

1. Unfortunately, the only one living part of hair , which can be treated, nourished and restored, is located under the scalp. Sun-damaged hair along its entire length will be almost impossible to repair on its own. That is why it is important to take care of every centimeter of curls, protect and care for them.
2. Ultraviolet rays attacking hair, destroy their beauty making them dry, brittle, split ends, weak and lifeless.
3. You can go without a headdress It's easy to get sunburned. Most often, the shoulders, back, and head are burned. After a scalp burn, hair may begin to actively fall out due to damage to the hair follicles.
4. The scorching sun is very dangerous for colored hair. . In addition, the sun's rays lead to the disintegration of artificial pigment and neutralization of the dye, which can completely change the shade of the hair, and not in better side. Also, patches of baldness may occur due to too much active influence sun rays on dyed hair.

How to protect your hair from the sun in the city?

1. If possible, avoid prolonged exposure to the sun at the busiest time - from 11 to 16.00. When going for a walk with your child or leaving the office for lunch, take with you not only sunglasses, but also a hat or bandana. In addition to being stylish accessories, they also offer 100% UV protection. You can read about how to choose a fashionable hat for the season

2. Minimize the amount of styling products. In the summer, ideally, any applied styling products (lotions and styling foams, fixing hair sprays) should contain UV filters. For example, the popular Wella brand has a whole line (Wella High Hair) of styling products with sun protection. Be sure to pay attention to the composition when purchasing any hair product; it should contain less “alcohol” and more natural!

3. Stop overusing curling irons and curling irons , at least in the morning. Dry your hair naturally, without a hot hair dryer.

4. Required use special sun protection products, going for a long walk. Now there are a lot of different sunscreens, but we advise you to pay attention to those for the body and hair. For example, use Solaris 2 in 1 hair spray with sea buckthorn oil.

5. Moisturizing is the key to the beauty and health of curls. How to protect your hair from the sun? Moisturize them more often in all possible ways, nourish them, pamper them with masks. In metropolitan areas, to increase humidity, install ultrasonic or steam humidifiers. From time to time, approximately every 3-5 hours, it is good to spray your curls with a special moisturizing spray. Read more about how to moisturize dry hair.

How to protect your hair from the sun at sea?

If in the city it is necessary to protect your hair only from the sun's rays, then on vacation you also need to protect it from the salty sea, sand and wind. Therefore, every effort must be made to preserve natural beauty your curls.

1. Before your vacation, take care in advance, at least several weeks in advance, about coloring or highlighting, or even better, at all Avoid any chemical exposure to your hair.

2. Of course, hat or scarf at sea – absolute must have. Choose only from natural materials and light shades, because, as you know, White color reflects the sun's rays better. On vacation, a hat will save not only your hair from drying out, but also your head from sunstroke. Try to keep the curls as hidden as possible under the hat.

3. If the entire length of hair cannot be hidden under a headdress, think about summer “beach” hairstyles – various bundles and knots, plaits, braids, styling with ribbons. The smaller the ends of the hair are “in free flight”, the better. After all, they are the ones who most often suffer from exposure to the scorching sun, salty sea and chlorinated pool. Don't forget to apply sunscreen to your hair before creating your hairstyle.

4. It is clear that you should not take tongs and curling irons with you to the south. Even a hairdryer Dry your hair as little as possible. To create curls, albeit imperfect ones, but healthy ones, braid your hair and use soft curlers.

5. Required wash your hair after swimming in salty sea water, and the sooner the better. You can take a light shower right on the beach, or at least rinse your hair with water from a bottle. It is important not to let salt settle on your head, as it actively attracts the sun's rays.

6. In addition to the standard sunscreen hair spray that was used in the city, it is advisable to use all "arsenal of protective equipment": shampoos, conditioners, rinses with UV filters. Such products should be soft and moisturizing and must be suitable for frequent use. For example, the Belarusian company Floralis has a protective line for hair. The ultra-soft formula of Florlis shampoo with UV filters is specially created to protect against the negative effects of the sun, wind and sea water. After shampoo, do not forget about conditioner.

7. Alternatively, any conditioner balm can be used apply to hair right before going to the beach. Under the influence of temperatures, it will penetrate deeply into the hair and moisturize it. And if the balm also has protective filters, it will also protect you from the sun. Just keep in mind that the curls will look damp for some time after the product - braid a beautiful braid!

8. One more recipe for hydration and protection hair from the sun. Take a tablespoon of any sunscreen (even for the body) and the same amount of liquid hair conditioner. Shake well and spray onto curls. On the beach, SPF will protect your hair from the sun, and conditioner will soften it.

9. Use oils , especially for ends, lock moisture into hair. To do this, apply base oil to damp hair, starting from the ends. For example, almond, coconut, even the simplest olive. This technique will help seal the cuticle and retain moisture. Among other things, many oils contain natural UV filters. Just don’t rely on them completely, a spray with SPF for your hair is still a must! Do not apply oil to the roots of your hair, especially if they are already oily.

10. How else to protect your hair from the sun? By using proper nutrition! Eat more natural antioxidants - vitamins C, E, beta-carotene, which are very beneficial for hair. First of all, these are fruits and vegetables such as apricots, oranges, red grapes, broccoli, spinach.

The sun's rays are destructive to hair - curls become dry, lose shine, begin to break and even fall out.

There are many ways to protect your hair from the sun in summer and on vacation, but it is important not only to familiarize yourself with them, but also to regularly apply protection from harmful ultraviolet radiation. Remember that it is easier to prevent problems with hair than to restore it for a long time and not always successfully. Study our recommendations and choose the most optimal method and suitable product for yourself.

How to prepare your hair for sun exposure

To protect your hair from the sun, try to properly care for it at home. Use mild shampoos that match your hair type to wash your hair in the summer, do not neglect balms and masks after washing, apply restorative serums and vegetable oils to dry ends, the choice and method of use of which we talked about.

In the summer, it is recommended to resort to blow-drying and styling with tongs and straighteners as little as possible; it is advisable to abandon perm and wait with coloring, if possible, or give preference to natural dyes, for example, henna. It is better to do all procedures two weeks before a trip to the sea.

Never go out in the sun with wet head, even if a protective agent has been applied. First, let the strands dry thoroughly. Long curls braid it or put it in a tight bun.

Before going out into the sun, you should not use varnishes, mousses and other styling and fixing products. The safest when in contact with heat and sun exposure is wax; it also preserves hair best in the hot season.

For combing, buy a wooden comb or brush with natural bristles. This will help minimize damage and healthy hair it is easier to cope with all external problems.

Hats and requirements for them

The easiest way to protect your hair at sea or while walking on a sunny summer day is to wear a hat. But which of the many panama hats and hats to choose so as not to get the opposite effect?

  • Give preference wide-brimmed hats to protect your entire head and face.
  • It is better to choose natural fabrics - synthetics do not allow air to pass through, and when heated, they release harmful substances. Look for straw or cotton bucket hats.
  • Panama hats in light shades are ideal; dark colors attract the sun's rays and heat up faster and stronger.
  • It is better if the hat is slightly loose; in a tight headdress, the hair will begin to sweat.

If you don’t have a suitable cap at hand, use a scarf, a towel, a large handkerchief, an umbrella - anything that can get in the way of dangerous ultraviolet radiation. Do not take off your hat while swimming, the sun is even more dangerous at sea than on the shore.

Even when using protection, try to stay in the sun as little as possible. daytime, go to the sea in the morning and in the evenings, buy an umbrella or stay under awnings.

During the hot season, many people use sunscreen; they reliably protect the skin from the negative and harmful effects of bright ultraviolet rays. But for some reason, almost all of us forget that our hair also needs additional protection during the summer season. Summer, so pleasant and alluring, is the main enemy of the beauty and health of hair, because the sun's rays, air conditioners and fans in rooms, salty sea water, increased dustiness in the air - all this causes significant harm not only to the external condition of the curls, but also to their internal structure. To take maximum care of the beauty and health of your curls, it is important to: summer period years to use hair protection products from the sun.

The sun is the main “enemy” of hair beauty

Ultraviolet rays cause enormous damage to strands of any type.

  • Alpha rays, which are part of the ultraviolet light, instantly dehydrate the hairs.
  • Beta rays, which are also found in sunlight, negatively affect the color of strands, destroying the pigment of both natural and dyed hair. If you do not take care of your hair and stay in the sun for a long time without the protection of certain products, then the strands become dull, thin, brittle, lifeless, begin to split and fall out.
  • In addition, ultraviolet light helps to “pull out” nutritional and fortified components, water and lipids, from the hair structure. The result of this action is thin and bulky curls, lacking flexibility and elasticity.
  • Another negative factor, which is observed more often in the summer, is frequent hair washing, which contributes to dry strands.

But the bright sun poses a great danger to colored hair, since ultraviolet radiation actively neutralizes chemical dyes, which leads to the appearance of hair of a completely unusual color shade on the head. In addition, frequent and prolonged exposure to the sun causes colored hair to begin to fall out, and then signs of early baldness appear on the head.

What is hair care in the summer?

Since in summer curls are exposed to the negative effects of several natural factors at once, protection for strands must be comprehensive. To ensure the most effective protection of your hair from sun rays, you must adhere to the following basics:

  • In the period from 11.00 to 16.00 during the daytime, while being outside under the scorching rays of the bright sun, it is important to always wear a hat. In the summer, it is advisable to always have a light scarf or hat with you so that you can put them on immediately if necessary.
  • After swimming in the sea, in a river, pond or any other natural body of water, it is important to rinse your hair. clean water. A herbal decoction based on plants such as chamomile, nettle, calendula, St. John's wort, etc. can replace water.
  • If you are planning a trip to southern resort towns, then you need to avoid dyeing, highlighting or perming your strands. Specified cosmetic procedures can be done approximately 2 weeks before your planned trip.

  • During the hot season, it is important to reduce the use of thermal tongs, hair straighteners, and hair dryers to a minimum.
  • Before swimming in salty sea water, curls need to be treated with nourishing and protective essential oils.
  • Before visiting the beach or just going outside under the scorching rays of the sun, your curls must be treated with a protective spray or shampoo/gel/balm.
  • To stimulate the release of protective lipids on the scalp, it is recommended to regularly comb your hair with massage combs made from natural materials.
  • It is highly undesirable to lighten strands with any types of lightening agents throughout the summer.
  • While the weather is hot and sunny outside, it is recommended to avoid using styling products such as foam, gel, varnish, and mousse. You can replace these styling products with special hair-fixing sprays, which contain substances that protect against UV rays.

  • To wash your hair throughout the summer, you can only use soft, moderately warm water. You can soften it by simply boiling it or adding lemon juice.
  • Dyed strands require maximum care; they must be regularly treated with color-fixing shampoos or tonics.
  • To fully protect your hair from negative and harmful sunlight, hair care must be comprehensive.

Summer gives us a lot of positive emotions; it fills the body with health, positivity and vigor. But so that the pleasant impressions of the hot season are not overshadowed by faded or overdried curls, you must always use hair protection products from the negative effects of the sun. And it doesn’t matter what products will be used for this - cosmetic or folk ones.

Before the trip

You should start preparing before you even start packing your suitcase. Here are a few simple rules:
1. Perm should be done in the salon at least 3 weeks before the start of the trip.
2. Any type of hair coloring must be done at least 2 weeks in advance. Although it is best to avoid this procedure altogether. Coloring is a serious test for hair and you should not subject it to unnecessary stress.
3. A week before departure, go to the hairdresser. Have him trim off any split ends of the hair. It's a great idea to shorten your haircut, which will make caring for your hair much easier.

What damaging factors threaten your hair during the holidays?

There are three of them: ultraviolet radiation from the sun, hot and strong wind, and exposure to salty sea or chlorinated pool water. Unfortunately, all these factors will act on you at the same time, reinforcing the negative effects of each other. Let's look at them one by one and tell you about effective hair protection from the sun, sea water and wind.

  • Ultraviolet

Ultraviolet radiation from the sun is divided into three types depending on the wavelength: UVA, UV B. and UVС. UVC waves are very strongly scattered in the Earth's atmosphere, and therefore their impact is minimal and can be neglected. But UVA and UV B radiation reaches our hair almost unchanged. Their damaging effect is also different: UVA waves intensively dry hair, and UV B waves destroy pigment, leading to loss of natural color.

But protecting your skin and hair from harmful ultraviolet rays is quite easy. Any hat or scarf made of light fabric will help you here. Or, if you don’t want to use unnecessary wardrobe items, you will have to use special sunscreens, which we will talk about in more detail below. The main thing to remember here is that you need to apply SPF filters at least half an hour before leaving the house, and not while sitting on the beach.

  • Hot and strong wind

Hot air draws moisture out of your hair quite quickly. And fast gusts of wind can easily tangle your hair, which can lead to breakage and split ends. But this problem is typical mainly for long hair and you can deal with it by simply collecting them in a ponytail or, better yet, in a braid. A tangled hair You will need to carefully comb with a wide-tooth comb, using a conditioner spray first.

  • Sea or chlorinated water

The main danger here is sea salt or chlorine contained in pool water. They very quickly wash dyes out of the hair and dehydrate it due to their hygroscopicity. In order to cope with this danger, it is enough to thoroughly rinse your hair with clean, fresh water at least once a day.

What to take with you and how to protect your hair from the sun at sea?

Firstly, your indispensable companion should be a headdress. A Panama hat made of natural light fabric or even a straw hat will provide your head with excellent protection from both ultraviolet radiation and heat stroke. Secondly, you will need a set of products that will provide your hair with sufficient care when traveling to southern latitudes. This care consists of three stages:

  • Cleaning: Shampoo

Contrary to popular belief, SPF protection for shampoo is not very important. Even if it contains substances that work as UV filters, after you wash your hair, there will be practically none left on your hair. The main tasks when using shampoo are moisturizing and cleansing. Therefore, you will need at least two different bottles of this cosmetic product. They should be used in a two to one ratio: wash your hair twice with a moisturizing shampoo, once with a cleansing shampoo.

  • Recovery: conditioner or mask

This is the main weapon to combat negative influences sea salt. Drying on the hair, salt causes the cuticle scales to rise and gradually penetrates into the hair shaft, where it begins to destroy its amino acid base. Using conditioners or conditioning masks after shampooing will help smooth the cuticles and protect your hair from damaging chemicals.

  • Protection: SPF filters

But these care products are precisely what protect hair from the sun directly, blocking its ultraviolet radiation. They work by enveloping each hair, enclosing it in a kind of protective shell, which, due to its physical and chemical characteristics, does not transmit ultraviolet radiation

The form of release of such cosmetic products can be very different - oils, creams, sprays, mousses, etc. Which option to choose is not so important, except that it is better for owners of thin hair to avoid using oils. But what will be truly useful is that this product, in addition to the ultraviolet filter, contains some caring, nourishing or moisturizing components. In this case, you will simultaneously receive protection from solar radiation and support for healthy hair.

Very good choice will become products that do not require rinsing. They can be applied to the hair once and left until the next shampoo. And all this time they will perform their protective functions well. Moreover, many manufacturers produce specialized lines of leave-in products for hot summer time. The compositions in these cosmetics are usually selected in such a way as to make their daily use possible and safe.

Types UV filters

All types of hair protection from ultraviolet radiation from the sun can be divided into three large groups - chemical, natural and physical.

Chemical filters

This is a fairly large group of substances obtained synthetically. These include, in particular:

  • avobenzone;
  • Mexoril;
  • tinosorb;
  • octisalicylate;
  • octocrylene;
  • cinnamates and a number of other compounds.

A feature of such products is their very high reliability and consistently maximum (SPF 50) degree of protection against UV radiation. Moreover, chemical filters can block both the UVA and UVB spectrum, and some can block both at once, being universal. Plus, such substances are water-resistant, have no color or odor and do not leave marks on the hair and skin.

However, cosmetologists do not recommend using products with chemical filters. Why? Because with all their undoubted advantages, they have a very significant disadvantage - after about two hours of exposure to the sun, these compounds begin to change their properties and work as oxidizing agents, destroying the protein base of the hair.

Natural filters

Various oils can be used as such agents. In fact, this is the answer to the frequently asked question: how can you effectively and cheaply protect your hair from the sun at home? This effect has:

  • jojoba oil (SPF 4);
  • shea butter (SPF 2-5);
  • sesame oil (SPF 5);
  • almond oil (SPF 5);
  • macadamia oil (SPF 6);
  • coconut and olive oil(SPF 2-8);
  • avocado oil (SPF 4-15);
  • wheat germ oil (SPF 20);
  • carrot seed oil (SPF 38-40);
  • raspberry seed oil (SPF 28-50).

It would seem, why buy then? professional products, and not use, say, almond oil to protect your hair from the sun? The answer is simple: natural ultraviolet filters have a fairly large number of limitations and application features:
1. They are not suitable for thin hair, as we already mentioned above.
2. Vegetable oils disintegrate very quickly, and therefore will provide you with protection for no more than one hour, and then it will need to be renewed.
3. The oil film has a certain refractive effect, which “attracts” the sun’s rays to the hair. That is, with a minimal decrease in the intensity of protection, the oil begins to work “against” your hair, increasing its fading.

Physical filters

These are primarily titanium dioxide and zinc oxide. Here the sun protection effect is based solely on the optical properties of these substances, which can reflect ultraviolet radiation. Their SPF indicator ranges from 10 to 30. The advantages of such products:

  • maximum safety - they are non-toxic and do not interact in any way with the hair or scalp;
  • versatility - reflect both UVA and UVB spectrum;
  • photostability - do not change their properties and structure under the influence of sunlight;
  • effectiveness even at low concentrations;
  • low cost.

Physical filters also have a number of disadvantages:

  • instability to mechanical influences - such a reflective film can be easily erased from the hair;
  • instability to water - these products are washed off after washing your hair and must be reapplied;
  • Mattifying your hair is a purely cosmetic effect, which, however, can affect your look.

How to use hair protection products correctly?

Hair care on vacation should consist of several stages:
1. Wet your hair with warm water, take a small amount of shampoo and massage the roots and scalp until foaming. Then distribute this foam throughout your hair and rinse it.
2. Then use conditioner on a clean head using the same massaging movements. Next, you need to pause for 5-7 minutes so that the nutrients have time to exert their restorative effect. After this, rinse your hair again with warm water.
3. Finally, apply sunscreen to dry hair and leave it there until the next time you wash your hair.

Can it be used as UV filter something also, if specialized tools are not available?

Will coloring, tonic, silicone, chamomile, other substances, treatments or herbs protect your hair from the sun? No, they won't protect you. All these products do not have the ability to prevent the spread of ultraviolet rays. Exactly the same answer will be given to the question of whether thermal protection, which is used for hot styling methods, is suitable for protecting hair in the sun. Its task is to prevent the damaging effects of high temperatures on hair. And on the beach, the main danger is not heat, but ultraviolet radiation. Thermal protection is simply not designed to block solar radiation.

Is there any alternative to specialized SPF cosmetics? Yes, as we have already said, you can use any vegetable oil, but its protective effect will not last long. In addition, solar filters applied to the skin will provide temporary hair protection. But it is better to use them for a short time, only as an “emergency option”.

How can you further help your hair when traveling to the sea?

  • If you want to lift your hair, it is better to collect it closer to the neck, rather than to the top. This will help protect your ends from unnecessary damage from the sun's rays.
  • When making such a ponytail, choose the softest, thickest and widest elastic bands. Unlike tighter and thinner ones, they have minimal traumatic effects on the hair. A good option would also be to use a hairpin, preferably a wooden one.
  • At the same time, we must remember that twisting hair into a “bundle” is, of course, very convenient, but keeping it in this state for a long time will not bring anything good. Especially if you twisted it in a similar way wet hair. High humidity makes hair fragile and especially susceptible to any mechanical damage.
  • If there is no shower on the beach, take 2-3 liters of fresh water with you and use it to periodically wash off the salt from your hair.
  • Do not use high temperature styling tools. Give your hair a break from curling irons or flat irons. Moreover, the appearance of the hairstyle that such styling can provide you will still not last too long. There is always high humidity on the sea coast, which means that the effect of all your efforts to curl or, conversely, straighten your hair will soon be destroyed.
  • If you still can’t imagine an evening at a resort without strictly styling your hair, you will need special products. Is not regular varnishes for fixing hair, and cosmetics bearing the Apres Beach mark. This marking means that this treatment is specially adapted to conditions of high humidity and with it the hair has every chance of not becoming disheveled until late at night.
  • Use your comb more often. The best option is a brush with natural bristles or a comb made of wood or bone with rare and large teeth.

How to maintain your hair after returning home from vacation?

Even if you took the time to buy all the sun protection products you need and neglected to use them, you probably won't be able to completely avoid damage. Unfortunately, the intensity of the summer sun in southern latitudes is so high that no SPF filter will be ideal, and salt water and hot wind will make your hair drier, despite any moisturizing treatments. Therefore, in order to quickly return their condition to normal, you will need to carry out a number of restoration measures:

  • During the first week after vacation, wash your hair at least a couple of times with a mild cleansing shampoo.
  • Pay special attention to moisturizing - it will help get rid of flaking scalp, which is often the result of combined exposure to sun, sand and wind.

It is believed that sun-bleached hair looks beautiful. But how bad is the sun for hair? What specifically harms hair health - ultraviolet rays, heat, light?

The effect of burnt strands can be achieved in different ways: using special products or being in direct sunlight, but you need to understand that both methods are harmful to the hair. There is a common belief that hair is alive, but in reality the only living part is located under the scalp. It means that damaged hair will no longer be able to recover on their own. Therefore, it is extremely important to protect and care for your hair.

The sun's UVA and UVB rays can damage not only the hair cuticle, but also the internal structure of the hair. The sun can make hair dry and brittle, very often it fades, begins to split at the ends, becomes weak and dull. To protect your hair and scalp, you must use products with sun protection factor.

By the way, this also applies to the time when you are not in the sun, but simply dry your hair every day or do your own styling. True, in this case you can do without special means. To provide your hair with gentle care, you need to choose the right hair dryer. In the Philips line, for example, the Philips HP8270 hair dryer automatically regulates the temperature of the supplied air. Thus, the hair does not heat above 57 degrees, does not dry out and remains healthy, shiny and elastic.

Is it enough to use a spray to protect your hair from the sun? Or should the protection be comprehensive and also include a special shampoo, conditioner and masks?

If you are going on holiday to hot countries or plan to spend a lot of time in the sun, it is best to use several sunscreens.

Use products containing dimethicone - shampoos, conditioners and creams. This substance envelops the hair, creating a protective shell that prevents electrification of the hair and also makes it manageable.

Daily use of sunscreen is also necessary. Women with visible signs of hair damage need weekly restoration treatments with products containing protein or keratin, which will help minimize the effects of sun exposure.

Shampoos and conditioners with SPF offer some protection to hair, but after rinsing, not enough SPF remains on the hair to prevent the damaging effects of UV rays. That is why it is also important to use serums that are distributed along the entire length of the hair, thereby ensuring necessary protection. I also recommend avoiding alcohol-based styling products if you plan to spend long periods of time in the sun.

What means the best way protect from the sun: sprays, masks or is it necessary to wear a hat? Are there any remedies that can be prepared at home?

Many styling products such as conditioners and sprays already contain SPF. The degree of protection may vary, but on average it is 12.

I understand that many people want to follow fashion trends, but it is still necessary to refrain from using products containing alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, lemon juice and other substances that bleach the hair, as they lead to dehydration and, as a result, damage to the hair. A hat, in my opinion, will protect your hair from UV radiation 100%.

Do salty sea water and chlorine in swimming pools harm your hair? How to protect your hair from possible negative consequences these factors?

Salt can greatly dry out hair, especially in combination with scorching sun rays, because... it has hygroscopic properties, i.e. absorbs moisture from hair. Of course, you can and should enjoy the sun and sea, but if possible, you should wear a hat to protect your hair, and after swimming in the sea, rinse your hair with fresh water.

Chlorine used in swimming pools causes the heavy metals in the water, such as copper, iron and manganese, to oxidize, and if too much chlorine has been added to the water, these metals can stain hair. various colors– from red to brown.

Hair will absorb less chlorine if you wet it with plain water before entering the pool and use conditioner large quantities. There are also several types of shampoos and a special conditioner that must be applied before swimming to reduce the harmful effects of chlorinated water. And finally, a rubber pool cap, while not the most attractive accessory, completely protects your hair!

Some people believe that red wine helps prevent hair bleaching - is this another myth?

There are many myths about hair protection, and this is one of them. Red wine does not affect hair color in any way!
